After recently welcoming in a new managing director, the UK’s leading distributor, RLMS Sales, has also made some other big changes following a recent move to new premises.
RLMS Sales said goodbye to its former home at the Maltings and Granary buildings in Burton-upon- Trent to make a fresh start and the long-awaited move to its new offices and warehousing on Beeches Park, a stone’s throw away from the A38 in Burton.
The company undertook the decision to relocate after the old buildings became unsuitable. The new offices are within a smaller, newer building and are purpose built, offering a better location for operation.
Non-executive chairman Reg Morosoli was instrumental in researching available premises and negotiating the 10-year deal. With an improved working environment all round for both sales and operations, this can only help RLMS Sales in its pursuit of excellence in delivering the best possible service to its customers and driving the business forward.
Of the move, RLMS Sales’ new Managing Director, Phil Boulton, commented, “We are very excited and believe the new premises will assure an even more efficient operation. The change of office is further evidence of RLMS Sales’ continued development programme and our commitment to providing the a high level of service to customers.
“A lot of our staff have many years of memories contained within the old premises from Rank Leisure days. However, it was no longer fit for purpose, let alone the stories I’ve heard of having to wear jumpers and coats to keep warm in the winter!”
Boulton continued, “Moving a business is, thankfully, not something you do every week. However, I have to say, I couldn’t wish for it to have gone any smoother. All the staff worked incredibly hard, essentially doing the move ourselves, and over a period of two to three days we were in.
“We now have a modern, open-plan sales office with a new warehouse and operations unit. We have settled in very quickly and I believe, without exception, everyone prefers the new working environment. It’s a place we’re incredibly proud of.”
