"Games Warehouse produces UK and Spanish versions of its video gaming terminal that serves the AWP market. In both markets, Infiniti is a dual-screen touchscreen unit with GPRS wireless connectivity and a fully upgradeable multi-game menu.
Infiniti has been available in the UK for over a year. By its very nature, it is a constantly evolving commodity and we add new features and launch new game content on a continuous basis. The UK video AWP market is segmented (Category C, B3, B4 and D) and is still in an embryonic phase, but we expect 2009 to be a year of growth both for the genre as a whole and for Infiniti as a product. The Spanish version of Infiniti has been on test for several months and was only unveiled to the wider market by our distributor, Grupo Comatel, at the recent FER show in Madrid. The terminal is still going through the homologation process and we expect full launch to take place before the end of the year and again, significant growth through 2009.
Infiniti is a multi-game terminal in all its derivatives. We shall endeavour to deliver a minimum number of software upgrades per year as part of new games release programme, which has proved to be so vital to the success of the Paragon SWP. With connectivity now around the corner, I believe that as it takes hold and becomes the industry standard we will see ongoing upgrades occurring and the frequency of these updates will be driven by the abilities and productivity of content developers.
Infiniti has been developed by the most successful producer of multi-game touchscreen terminals in the history of the UK coin-op industry. Games Warehouse has been successfully evolving the Paragon SWP terminal, with its upgradable software packages, for more than six years and has built its business from nothing to the point today where the Paragon installed base is greater than the sum of all its competitors. Furthermore, we are the sister company of the world leader in this genre. We would contend that nobody knows more the requirements of delivering a multi-game video proposition to the coin-op market." - Tony Eyre, sales and marketing director, Games Warehouse
