Essnet Interactive, the Swedish server-based gaming company and wholly owned subsidiary of Aristocrat Leisure Limited (ALL:ASX), has announced that it will be called ACE Interactive AB (ACE).
ACE is a leading developer and supplier of turnkey Interactive Video Terminal (iVT) systems based on a unique server-based open gaming platform. The ACE system allows centralised management including updates and configuration of games, real-time monitoring, central random-number generator and the ability to offer games from any content provider.
ACE will be managed as a separate company to enable it to focus on the development of opportunities in the fast-growing server-based video lottery market.
ACE has also announced the appointment of a new CEO, Michael Koch, to lead its business, exploiting opportunities presented in the server-based gaming arena globally. Koch has had over 14 years’ experience in the gaming industry, initially with the lottery division of Wincor Nixdorf and then subsequently with GTECH.
Koch commenced his GTECH career as a regional account manager in Europe, following which he became managing director of GTECH Germany. Most recently, Koch was director of worldwide business development for GTECH Corporation, based in Rhode Island.
Commenting on ACE Interactive’s appointment of Koch, Aristocrat’s CEO and managing director, Paul Oneile said: “Michael’s extensive experience within the lottery gaming segment will be invaluable to the success of ACE. Together with a team that is highly talented and enthusiastic, he will provide a greater focus in executing our strategy for the server-based video lottery market.”
ACE is currently a platinum sponsor for the World Lottery Association (WLA) and will be demonstrating its leading-edge server-based gaming solution at the Australasian Gaming Expo in September, the WLA Conference in Singapore and the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas in November.
