Cosmic Video Amusements (CVA) took advantage of a unique opportunity at the recent football game held as part if the Soccer Aid campaign organised by UNICEF at Wembley Stadium. CVA was asked to provide a game to keep participants entertained during the event in the hotel bar & lounge area.
The company decided to supply Texas Hold ‘Em Heads Up Challenge an all-new entertainment game. "We thought it would be a great opportunity to expose the game to the many high-profile personalities who were gathered at the event," said CVA's John Farrington. "We knew there would be some well-known amateur poker players there and were keen to gauge their feedback."
Some of those present at the event have taken part in televised poker games before, such as Teddy Sherringham the ex-England soccer star. Sherringham (pictured here with CVA's Jonathan Mays) liked the game so much that he has ordered a non-coin-op version for his own home.
Soccer Aid 2008 raised £2.6 million for UNICEF children's charities across the world via ticket, programme and public donations plus ITV competitions.
