Speed ahead with the NordicCC team

In January 2005, the then 39-year-old Reinhard Schloh opened the firm of Nordic Company Consultancy (NordicCC). The main focus is consultancy and the marketing of its own sport game brand Versus through specialised regional distributors.

Since his entry into the gaming industry, Schloh has operated as project guru and export champion for the Gauselmann Air Hockey game, Typhoon, and has worked for Nova Games, Stella International and MEXIM.

In 2008, Gauselmann transferred the (since 2006) existing marketing rights for the complete Scandinavian markets to NordicCC. The complete international marketing rights for the special Versus version of the Typhoon, developed exclusively by NordicCC rest with the company.

The company sees its main role as a supplier of commercial sport table games to the entertainment sector, in particular amusement parks and bowling alleys.

Consultancy

NordicCC has proved its competence in this sector through the clearing and settlement of several large surplus consignments. Important marketing aspects such as securing of assets and logistical coordination have been successfully implemented by Schloh and his team of experts.

Products

The Versus line aims at emphasizing the fight attribute of a game by giving both players an emotional character they play for and can identify with.

Two new products of the in-house line Versus have been launched in 2008:

The exclusive Air Hockey versus SPEED is a new Air Hockey, requiring less precious space and it is going to be the most budget-priced device in our portfolio. ‘Half price & half size' compared to its older ‘sister' Typhoon Versus.

"There will be more of our products in the German market in future. We are going to pay more attention to the dynamic German market, where demand for sport game devices definitely exists. That has been shown by an enormous participation of a test series with the versus SPEED lately," says Christina Fischer, Sales Assistant at NordicCC.

The versus SPEED has already been placed in several bowling alleys and karting centres for testing purposes all over Germany. The Speed also acted as an teaser at the Bowl Expo in Frankfurt for PepsiCo and there it was: the proof: it not only a game for kids and teenagers. Adults also had enormous fun playing the SPED.

"But we have also experienced a positive response to our Mini Airhockey from abroad, where Airhockey in general are more spread and established compared to the German market," adds Fischer.

Another first for NordicCC - is that we have catered for the option of placing individual advertising on the top lights. Whatever the operator wants to show: happy hours, opening times or tournament announcements, all this can be simply displayed. All that is necessary is to prepare a 184 mm round sticker, place it in position and off you go. The top light also has internal ambient lighting and the complete game, when lit up, will be the absolute attention getter in an arcade.
