The MGA-New Park group presented its financial results in its annual report for 2005. The business activities of MGA-New Park currently cover various aspects of the amusement sector, from the development of games to their distribution and operation.
In his statement, Jaume Riera, General Manager of MGA-New Park, described Jaume Sanahuja Junyent, the group’s President, as one of the most outstanding personalities in the Spanish private-gaming sector, who has transformed MGA-New Park from a typical family business into a solid financial group with a great future.
The annual report for the 2005 financial year confirms, on the one hand, the company’s strong expansion into international markets, and, on the other, its determination to keep abreast of technological developments, investing in and researching new methods of gaming together with the opportunities presented by online systems. As can be seen in the report, MGA-New Park doubled its pre-tax profits in 2005 to E9m, as opposed to E4.6m in the previous financial year. The company’s turnover reached E93m, which was 52.4 percent higher than in 2004. The aim of the group is to be a global player, an integral part of the leisure sector involved in various activities, among which is its possible participation in the casino sub-sector and an initiative to launch a virtual leisure portal. Both these initiatives are through the Atzaria Group, in which it is participating along with several other noted Spanish companies.
