The Italian Minister of Finance has indicated that he is pleased with the results coming in daily from the on-line poker market. In view of the excellent trend and the very heavy demand from Italian players, the Minister was keen to adjust the previously issued data. Anticipated results for this market this year will not be €400 million, but €1 billion.
Furthermore the Minister highlighted the fact that the flow of funds will increase due to the number of new operators, who are at the starting blocks and are ready to enter this booming market. During November, takings from poker on-line have increased by 41% against the previous month, reaching the magical number of €74.4 million, thanks primarily to the Italian operator of Microgame, which on its own accounts for 30.3% of total takings.
