The Finance Commission has tabled a proposal in which it is stated that previous horseracing betting licenses expiring in 2009 will be revoked for those operators who sign up to the new licenses on the basis of the new call for tenders aimed at granting at least another 3,000 horseracing betting licenses valid until 30 June 2016.
This is the text of the amendment:
At Paragraph 3, replace the words from: , as well as up to: previously attained with the following: . The procedure is available as well for the applications by those parties who, at the date of coming into force of the law converting this Decree, are holders of a previously granted licence due to expire later than 31 January 2009.
In consequence, at Paragraph 5: in the second sentence, after the words: previously attained add the following words: different from the one dealt with in the ruling of the European Community Court of Justice and referred to in Paragraph 1;
add finally the following sentence: With the signature of the additional provision referred to in Paragraph 3, second sentence, by the licensees who are beneficiaries of the procedure referred to in Paragraph 1, licences previously obtained by the said licensees to manage and accept horseracing or sports bets are revoked.
