The last 12 months have been difficult for most of the coin-slot industry worldwide. Not so for the ebullient NSM Music Ltd., who enjoyed an even more successful ATEI than last year's record-breaking achievement.

NSM Music started the year at ATEI with a stand double the size of last year's arrangement. With new enquiries from 18 different countries and a footfall increase of over seven per cent, the show has left the company feeling upbeat about prospects for the next 12 months.

"We are really happy with the response from the exhibition," said Alex Kirby, Sales Manager. "NSM has introduced a number of innovations in 2008, including 3G interface and multilingual access. But this year's offerings will provide brand new opportunities for the company, which will generate new sources of revenue for operators and site owners in the future".

NSM's latest digital jukebox, the Icon2, was designed from a wish-list created from NSM customers' feedback. NSM Music has taken into account operator's comments on the best selling IconTM box and has improved the response time and the graphics to the universal approbation of visitors at ATEI. In addition, UK customers are being offered no-cost finance, making Icon one of the most sought-after jukeboxes around. 

The IconTMApollo was undoubtedly the head-turner on the NSM stand, with its huge 40" Samsung screen which is the ideal medium for playing NSM's impressive video collection.

The touch screen display is divided into three core sections: user interface, data belt  and music video. The data belt displays live information from RSS feeds, allowing information such as live weather,  news and sports results to be fed directly onto the touchscreen.

The two new jukeboxes are also great news for operators and site owners. The success of video sharing is undoubted, so it comes as no surprise that the new Icons will come with access to YouTube. This - together with the new advertising package for resellers -adds up to more potential revenue for operators and site owners..

NSM Music's new interactive advertising platform offers a novel, cost-effective way of targeting the lucrative 21-34 age group with a range of on-screen tools which will bring operators a valuable source of on-going income.

The Icon jukebox has the ability to generate an ever changing series of advertising media, providing revenue streams from both music and marketing campaigns. An NSM appointed advertising agency will be responsible for generating and sourcing the adverts and co-ordinating local and national campaigns. It is intended to supply free broadband to all participating operators.

The NSM platform is extremely versatile and well-suited to meet the needs of almost any industry looking to interact one-on-one with their customer base. All advertising is controlled by the NSM server and can be jukebox/location based, regional or national, continuous or timed. Whatever the advertising campaign , Icon can prove to be a valuable source of on-going income to operators ,who may also share the revenue with others.

The launch of the new Icons was accompanied by the launch of two new product ranges from either side of the Atlantic.

NSM Music has been appointed distributor for funworld products in the UK, USA, India and UAE. 

According to Josef Öhlinger, funworld's CEO: "We have found an excellent partner in NSM Music, which has vast market expertise and great sales competency in countries that are for us of enormous strategic importance. We can thus continue to strengthen our international presence and successfully expand the market leadership for linked touchscreen game terminals in Europe."

Another alliance was forged by NSM Music in the shape of TouchTunes of America which has appointed the Leeds based firm as UK distributor for the Play PorTTTM video gaming terminal, which also received a lot of attention at ATEI.

 NSM Music is looking forward to the future with optimism. "This is a dynamic industry," says General Manager Martin Agabeg.
