For urgent and unavoidable reasons and with little less than a month before the event was due to take place, the organizers of the Málaga Fair have been forced to delay the opening of the Spanish gaming fair. The Fair has been rescheduled for 22nd to 24th April. No-one can fail to appreciate the difficulties in organizing a fair, especially if the event is about gaming.
The complexity of assembling the stands which are almost always spectacular, and the coordination of all the necessary services, requires an enormous effort on the part of all the departments behind the promotion and coordination of the event in order to ensure its desired success. But above all, it requires time. An oversight when selecting the initial dates for the Fair at the Palacio de Congresos in Málaga has caused this unusual problem which has arisen because although the dates do not clash with those of any other show, they leave almost no margin for manoeuvre when it comes to the huge task of assembling the stands which companies like R. Franco, Cirsa and Aristocrat have come to expect. Faced with this possibility, the organization has chosen to negotiate new dates for the Fair, although these bring with them the problems associated with a period that includes Easter and the April Fair in Seville, both with international repercussions.
