There is no break anticipated in the work schedule of Gennaro Parlati, in charge of institutional relations at ACMI, the Gaming Machines Manufacturers’ Association, who also devised and is running the ProGameShow.
A few hours after the end of the gaming fair, Parlati announced that there would be something new for the next edition. “Thanks to suggestions and inputs received in the last few days, both from exhibitors and those who visited the events, it has become clear that our experience and our ‘world’ should be made available to the public, so that people can really understand what we stand for and the nature of our activities,” he said. “Therefore, it is likely that as from next year the event will include an open day for the public – for those not directly involved in the sector – in a way that will involve all those who have a limited or often misguided opinion of gaming operators. The fact that ACMI and Fair Play have taken part in the meeting and the friendship of the Rimini people have demonstrated that there is a lot to do in promoting the sector, to ensure that our activities, our efforts and the investments made by our companies are not wasted by hastily associating the gaming world with crime news.”
While waiting to learn what the moves will be for staging the next ProGameShow, work has already started within ACMI for the next January get-together, when Italian AWPs will be on display in London at the ATEI, the most prestigious entertainment and gaming trade show.
