Ireland’s Coin-Op Expo – AmEx 2007 – the 28th Irish Amusement & Gaming Trade Exhibition, will be held at the Lynch Green Isle Hotel, Dublin on the March 6-7, 2007.
The free admission and free seminar programme that made AmEx 2006 so successful will continue in 2007. In addition to this, a series of trade-association meetings will be held during the 2007 event.
Special accommodation rates will be announced in the coming months and online registration will commence on December 1, 2006. A number of charity fundraising events will take place and the 2007 Mary Openshaw Memorial Award for Excellence will be announced.
This year saw the introduction of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill, which proposes (in Part 5, Section 55 & 56) that the maximum stake in gaming machines be increased to 50 cents and the maximum prize be increased to E30.
Now that the Bill has finally been introduced it is hoped that it will commence moving through the various stages at the earliest opportunity after the return from the summer recess on September 27.
