Following about three years of abstinence, the Gauselmann Group has reported five of its own locations in Spain. Since June 21, five already-established gaming halls in Granada are now owned by Merkur Casino.
The Spanish market offers excellent opportunities to create and successfully utilise synergy effects, according to Rolf Klug, director of Merkur and Spielothek International, part of Gauselmann AG.
“On the one hand, there is the presentation of a product range that is designed to be relevant to the local markets – already successfully marketed in Spain for many years by Merkur Gaming. On the other hand, there is the successful formula for exclusive entertainment centres made by Gauselmann, which points the direction for new trends in this flexible market sector,” he said.
