AMOA has renewed its licensing agreement with the three Performing Rights Organizations (PROs) – ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC – through to the end of calendar year 2007. The contract covers public performance rights on music played on CD and vinyl jukeboxes.
According to the current agreement, the licensing program automatically renews for one year unless either the AMOA or the PROs advises the other of its intention to terminate or re-negotiate. This year’s deadline has already passed.
Due to the automatic renewal, AMOA member operators will continue to receive a substantial discount on their CD and vinyl jukebox licenses, obtained through the Jukebox License Office (JLO), through 2007.
