Inspired Gaming Group has released an update for its financial year ended September 30, 2006. Growth continued to be driven by the deployment of server-based gaming (SBG) terminals. During the year, the number of SBG terminals increased by 54 per cent to over 36,000, of which over 17,000 were in overseas markets.
SBG accounted for approximately 33 per cent of expected revenues, which compares to approximately 27 per cent in the prior year. The group’s roll-out of its SBG terminals is continuing as expected in the current financial year.
During the summer months trading in the pub and leisure-park market was challenging as a result of the weather conditions experienced across the UK, and the directors estimate that the trading conditions had a negative impact on earnings before interest, tax and amortisation of over £1.6m.
These challenges were mitigated by strong SBG incomes in UK gaming and international markets, and consequently the directors still expect to report trading results that are broadly in line with the market’s expectations. Since the summer, pub incomes have strongly recovered and are now tracking the management’s expectations.
