TAB-Austria has received its largest ever order to manufacture gaming terminals for a company expanding into Czech and Austrian markets. The order is for more than 10,000 new betting terminals at a value of around E50m and will double the company’s annual turnover next year.
In order to satisfy the order, TAB-Austria will start to produce 300 kiosk terminals every week from January 2007. Because of flexible production, this is still possible with one-shift operation.
Exports have been steadily increasing over the past few years for TAB-Austria. “We have had to continuously recruit new employees,” said General Manager Siegfried Dattl Jr. “Recently, we have taken on new sales people and software engineers.”
This bulk order enables the company to further expand its research and development department to work even harder on new products and innovations, and TAB-Austria has ambitious plans for the future.
“We’d like to further expand steadily and develop new foreign markets,” said Dattl. “The amusement sector offers opportunities for more kiosk terminals. We believe it is always possible to stand up to copiers and Asian competitors offering low prices.”
