The Gala Coral Group, Europe’s largest integrated betting and gaming group recently held its annual awards dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Almost 1000 people attended this first fully integrated awards dinner which recognised the contribution of its own staff, customers and suppliers across Gala Coral Group’s four divisions, Gala Bingo, Gala Casino, Gala E-commerce and Coral.
It is in the prestigious category of ‘supplier of the year’ in which The Global Draw scooped the top honours. Neil Goulden, Gala Coral Group Chief Executive commented, “The Global Draw continues to deliver consistent market leading performance from its fixed odds betting terminals firmly putting Coral significantly ahead of its competitors. It was in recognition of this performance that we have named The Global Draw as Gala Coral Group’s supplier of the year”. The Global Draw has established itself as a leading supplier of integrated betting solutions to the Licensed Betting Office sector and has recently been awarded an extension to supply Coral with gaming and betting terminals on an exclusive basis. As part of the extension to the supply agreement, all existing terminals will be replaced with dual screen Nevada terminals incorporating state of the art technology and preparing the estate for the introduction of a new class of ‘jackpot’ games (category B3) which are allowed in Licensed Betting Offices from September 2007 as part of the implementation of new gaming laws in the UK.
