Gary Drage is now the sole executive director and in full control. Despite strong trading and a healthy order book following a very successful ATE, it has been necessary that the parent company, SLP Properties Limited ceases trading. “This is the best way for SLP Properties to honour its responsibilities. SAM Leisure will recommence trading from the existing premises as a trading name of GD Sports & Leisure. The new company has the full backing of its major suppliers and has been awarded exclusive rights to represent SAM products in the UK & Ireland,” said Drage. “We view the UK & Ireland as a vital market for SAM products and Gary Drage as the best individual to represent our interests and that of SAM customers, as he has been for more than 12 years,” said a company spokesperson for Billares SAM. “We have every confidence in SAM Leisure and Gary Drage, and look forward to the continued expansion of SAM sales in the UK & Ireland.” All regular contacts remain with the company and can be reached in the normal way. “It is hoped that disruption to the business will be minimal, and indeed customers will quickly see improvements in the service and supply they receive,” added Drage. “I am really excited about the future and confident SAM Leisure can now realise its true potential.
