Bally Wulff Automaten GMBH (i.e. Bally Wulff Gaming Machines) has been renamed Bally Wulff Entertainment. This is a logical step, according to the company, which underwent a restructure boosted by the appointment of Axel Herr.
Less than a year ago, the experienced manager joined the established Berlin-based company as the new CEO, paving the way into the future with new ideas and new technologies. “Right now everyone’s talking about virtual poker, Black Jack and various quiz formats which are still limited to TV and internet - it is our aim to make these forms of entertainment available to the public at large,” said Axel Herr. “To gain customers these days, you have to adjust to your target groups’ leisure-time behaviour. Bally Wulff Entertainment is seeking competition not only within the gaming industry, but above all in the leisure time sector. “Our new competitors now are called Nike, Adidas and Puma - and also Electronic Arts, Sony BMG or 20th Century Fox. Flexibility is the keyword here - and this means one has to develop and keep up with with the market,” added Herr.
“This change has already been made by the new Bally Wulff Entertainment- but is still to be followed by other manufacturers,” said Herr. “We already cooperate with various industries that can also profit from modern entertainment.” The renaming does not affect business relations, though: “Our cooperation with customers, suppliers and financial partners will keep its firm foothold,” underlined Sascha Blodau, authorised signatory and head of the controlling department. “As for that, everything will go on as usual.”
“We are here to transform modern entertainment, presenting it to the player in a new individual and exciting way. The first step has already been made: PC technology and big TFT screens are the new platform for successful developments,” said Herr. Axel Herr brings his previous experience in consumer leisure companies such as Nintendo, Konami or THQ to his position at Bally Wulff Entertainment. “All these companies belong to an industry distinguished by a higher-than-average growth-rate every year and this is what we want to achieve with Bally Wulff Entertainment,” Herr concluded.
