Southern Taiwan University of Technology held “Motion Games - Creation, Development and Test for Users” last month. Aside from releasing more than 10 interactive games which had been developed by undergraduate students of the Game Developmental Technology Department, the university also invited people of the game related industry to participate in the event.
The principal of Southern Taiwan University of Technology - Chang Xin-Xiong - showed that the popularity of Wii has helped people to have a deeper understanding of interactive motion games, and also revealed the brand new looks of highly interactive games of the next generation. The Media and Computer Entertainment Science Department of the university aims to influence the trends of future developments of digital entertainment and devotes itself in the R&D of new type interactive amusement products in order to promote the R&D ability of Taiwan's interactive games. The game market is no longer being restricted to young people, but has access across all ages. Chang Xin-Xiong said, “Southern Taiwan University of Technology is the first to enter into the R&D field of motion games; we hope to add some energy to Taiwan's game industry.”
