MANY thanks to all those who have sent their best wishes, emails and texts. This month I had two deadlines - one to produce the magazine you have before you and the other at the hospital to be induced to give birth to my first child. Unfortunately, the two were uncomfortably close. Now as I type these words 8.5lbs of gorgeous baby boy is sharing lap space with my computer. Joseph arrived during the Preview show and is the reason I was unable to attend that exhibition, or the ones in Rome and Prague last month.
Rest assured that I will be back travelling as soon as I possibly can. I used to find the exhibitions completely exhausting but now I am pretty sure that I will find them a welcome rest from the home routine!
Having read Rowan McIntyre’s excellent report from the Rome show it seems as though I didn’t miss an awful lot. In fact, the only real change from last year was the venue. As usual, the market is mired in recriminations and nobody is selling any machines. International suppliers are falling away as the opportunities are diminshing. As for Rimini - I can’t imagine there will be any changes there either. But I will let you know...
