A phase that coincided with the legalisation of gaming in Spain and that even now, is still struggling to achieve equal treatment and opportunity in the face of the competition posed by public gaming and the new on-line gaming trends. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Andemar, hosted a dinner attended by all those persons who, in one way or another, have influenced the work of the association.

In this respect the last four legislators responsible for gaming in Catalonia were present together with the various people who had acted as Chairman over its twenty-five year history. They all received an emotional tribute witnessed by the representatives from the business world, the various associations, the media and officials from all the political groups.

During his speech, the current Chairman, Manuel Lao Gorina, thanked everyone for their work on behalf of a group that represents 70% of the machines installed in Catalonia and called for greater flexibility in the designs governing such machines.

For his part the Secretary General of the Department of the Interior, alluded to the preparation of a new law to replace the existing one, which will reconcile the various social interests in gaming.

The event took place in the banqueting hall of a famous castle on the Catalan coast. A place of incomparable beauty that was a worthy setting and meeting point for the entire group of companies that currently make up Andemar-Catalonia.
