Suzo Americas, part of the global Suzo Happ group, has opened a new Freeport distribution centre.
Companies outside South America who trade in the region are aware of the varied, complicated and often bureaucratic procedures for exporting their goods to Latin America, and the costs these entail on the client’s side for the import.
Suzo Americas has focused on improving the export-import process. Gaming companies exporting to Latin America can bundle shipments and make use of this logistical centre operated by the company. Instead of sending several smaller shipments to Latin American customers, these can be sent together to Suzo Americas’ Freeport distribution centre and be managed and shipped from there. The Freeport is in Montevideo, Uruguay and opened officially last month.
For regional operators, this means they can satisfy their needs for a wide variety of spares with just one single import procedure. For South American manufacturers, Suzo Americas offers additional advantages. With over 30,000 products in its range, the local manufacturer can choose many machine components from the company, be it a touchscreen monitor, a handlebar or a note reader. Instead of having to import these goods from each individual supplier, the OEM can rely on Suzo Americas for its needs.
Jens Peller, General Manager of Suzo Americas, stated, “Suzo Americas has grown rapidly in recent years. This is because we focus on customer needs. Slot machines require a whole range of components and we at Suzo Americas are willing to stock these. Our focus on building a professional service network has taken the next step in the right direction with our Freeport distribution centre. We welcome all operators and manufacturers within Latin America and those exporting to Latin America to make use of this service.”
