International Game Technology has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, IGT, has completed the previously announced purchase of substantially all of the assets of Cyberview Technology, Inc. The acquisition was approved by Cyberview's shareholders on July 4. In addition, IGT said that it has executed the also previously announced license agreement with Cyberview. That agreement provides IGT access to certain Cyberview patents and technology not included in the asset purchase. International Game Technology.

Inspired Gaming International (Inspired), part of Inspired Gaming Group plc, has announced that it is bringing its award winning Virtual Racing suite of products to over 1000 venues across South America. Inspired is able to launch its Virtual Racing products into the region through a revenue share agreement it has signed with Caliente, the leading broadcaster of live sporting events in South America. As part of the strategic partnership, Caliente will be broadcasting all of Inspired's Virtual Racing products across betting offices, sports bars and other venues starting from August 2008.

Scheduled for September 25 to 27 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, GTI Asia Hong Kong Expo 2008 has been reluctantly called off by Game Time International (GTI), the show organizer. The original intention of GTI Asia Hong Kong Expo was to act as a quick springboard for companies interested in entering the vast Chinese market. However, the approach of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the restrictions on the electronic gaming/amusement industry by the Chinese government, and the global economic slump have led GTI to call off the September show in Hong Kong, China.
