With a massive effort on a transatlantic scale, the UK's Datateam Publishing and Greata Entertainment of Panama are launching the first edition of Casino International Americano, a B2B magazine for The Americas region, specializing in Latin America. The August/September 2008 edition of the bi-monthly magazine will be launched in Lima, Peru.
Datateam Publishing, with over 30 years in business publications, decided to support the new magazine owing to the strong demand from the regional sector for a title with informed content. Paul Ryder, International Publisher for the company commented: "The first few issues the magazine will be in the Spanish language only but as we progress we shall have a bilingual edition".
Elizabeth Leiva, President of C&GS, the organizers of the Peru Gaming Show said: "We are proud that Americano is being launched during our gaming expo on 7 and 8 August, when people from all over Latin America and also Europe and Asia will be present". The Lima event will take place at the fashionable Jockey Plaza Convention Centre in Monterrico.
Ricki Chavez-Munoz, managing editor of the magazine said: "It has been really hectic getting the production of Americano ready for its international launch. We have been working against the clock in several countries, and I would like to thank everyone for their support, especially our advertisers who have been instrumental in the development of Americano, as we call our new title."
Datateam had programmed the issue of a digital edition Casino International Americano in the short term, but as Ryder explained: "When the front cover was designed it just had to go digital at once, so it was just a situation of all hands to the pumps in England, Panama and Peru."
As the magazine goes for a double launch in print and digital, Chavez-Munoz remarked: "I believe that the imposing Macchu Picchu front cover has motivated everyone, and being one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World the guys at Datateam are already making plans to visit this legendary destination."
