Pan Amusements, a world leader in the manufacture of electronic shooting galleries, is once again proving to be one of the UK’s top exporters of amusements, with recent orders from Russia and Iran.
Paul Whittaker, Managing Director of Pan, explained, “It’s not so long ago that most of our sales were to traditional theme parks in parts of the world you would expect, but this has changed considerably over the last few years.”
These latest sales are for two Tin Can Alleys, a compact gallery that is particularly popular in Eastern Europe; a Pirate-themed gallery; and four orders for Shark Shooter, the Midway water game ideal for the small theme park or FEC.
The Iran order for a six-gun Hillbilly and six-gun Pirate is particularly interesting as it is to Arshima – a large amusement park in Tehran which had fallen into disrepair but has now been completely revitalised.
Many of these new contacts have come from Pan Amusement’s frequent attendance at major exhibitions, which form a large part of its marketing activity.
“We are now coming into contact with many buyers from different countries, not only from amusement parks but also general leisure and retail,” continued Whittaker.
