Paul Valente from Kent-based Quality Amusements has reported a 60 percent increase in jukebox cashbox since siting the innovative Milestones in Music boxes from Sound Leisure over the summer.
“We have three Milestones in Music jukeboxes sited and they are all showing a percentage increase of around 60 percent. This figure has been calculated over a seven-week period, therefore allowing for the initial couple of collections where you would expect increased revenue,” he said.
Milestones In Music is Sound Leisure’s digital audio software platform, which has the benefits of Online and On Demand systems without the necessity of a broadband connection. It is housed in the branded ‘Top of the Pops’ Music Post cabinet under licence from the BBC.
The box comes with the Official Chart Package from Soundnet, which consists of the entire Top 40 (over 18,000 tracks) and a minimum extra 7,000 essential tracks.
Following installation, an update of the official chart is sent out every two weeks and over 100 new category tracks are delivered every month by disc.
“We are thrilled that Paul has experienced such a huge increase in cashbox despite a relatively quiet summer,” said James Luck from Soundnet.
“We have received many reports that Milestones in Music has captured customers’ imaginations because of the wide range of music available and the unique search facility where they can search tracks according to significant dates in the past, such as birthdays or wedding anniversaries,” he added.
