Purcell & Associates, one of Europe's leading Gaming Consultancy firms, based in Ireland, have initiated the Inaugural Irish Gaming Conference to provide a forum for national and international speakers to contribute to the development of the gambling industry in Ireland.
As the Minister for Justice has recently published a report from the Irish Casino Regulation Committee, the Irish Gaming Conference has been created as a forum to allow all facets of the industry explore the potential ramifications of legislation for its particular field of gaming.
Casinos/Card Clubs, Bookmakers, adult gaming centres, bingo and lottery providers will all be catered for at an event that will also have specialist contributions from licensing and legislation experts, social responsibility and problem gambling experts as well as financial and anti-money laundering experts.
The event is to be held in the Maryborough Hotel & Spa in Cork on the 23rd and 24th September, 2008. After many months of interaction with senior figures in the Irish and International Gaming industry, the Irish Gaming Conference will be formatted to provide a consultative forum for the industry, by the industry.
Confirmed Speakers include Mr. Peter Hannibal, Group eGaming Director of the Gala Coral Group, one of Europe's leading gaming operators; Mr. Rob Corbett, Partner, Arthur Cox Solicitors; Mr. Geoffrey Godbold, CEO GamCare; Mr. Norman Crowley, CEO, Inspired Gaming; Mr. Tom Kavanagh, Deputy CEO of the UK Gambling Commission.
The Irish Gaming Conference website is now live at http://www.irishgaming.ie where delegates can register their interest in attending and view updates on the conference schedule and speakers. A networking lunch will be held on both days as well as a networking reception at the end of day one in Cork city centre.
