TransAct Technologies, Incorporated a global leader in market-specific printers for transaction based industries, displayed its award-winning Epic line of gaming printers at the Australasian Gaming Show. The show, which took place August 24 - 26, was held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Center in Darling Harbour NSW, Australia.
Executives from TransAct Technologies and The Bright Group, TransAct's distributor in Australia, were on hand to demonstrate the unique features and capabilities of the Epic 950® and Epic 430TMpatented casino and gaming printers.
Designed to meet the needs of international gaming customers, both printers have technologically advanced features and capabilities to handle high volume transactions. The Epic 950 offers numerous features including TicketBurstTM technology, which eliminates potential player interference by completely printing and bursting the gaming voucher before it is presented; expanded ticket-tray capacity; and ease of swap out. In addition, Epic 950's dual-port technology - ServerPortTM provides operators with the ability to deliver real-time targeted coupons directly to the player. This unique functionality, coupled with multi-language capabilities will become increasingly important as operators convert their machines to cashless Ticket-in Ticket-out (TITO) technology and transition to server based electronic gaming machines.
Also on display was the Epic 430TMprinter, which is targeted for self-service gaming applications. The Epic 430 features a modular design that can easily be configured as game space permits. Designed to address the needs of gaming type machines found in non-casino establishments, the Epic 430 is ideal for use in Amusements with Prizes (AWP), Skills with Prizes (SWP), Video Lottery Terminals (VLT), and Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBT).
