Clarion ATE, organiser of the Amusement Trades Exhibition International (ATEI), has begun its marketing campaign to help visitors to the 2007 expo negotiate their way around the new-look show, which will take place across both the ground floor and level one of London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre on January 23-25, 2007.
When pre-registering for entry badges to the show, all visitors will be asked if their primary interest is in gambling or non-gambling products. Their response will be incorporated into the colour coding on their badge, which in turn will determine whether they enter the show on the ground level, which accommodates suppliers of gambling equipment, or on level 1, which houses manufacturers and distributors of non-gambling products and services. The minority of show visitors who register on-site will be directed to the registration area located in an ‘arrivals lounge’ on level 1.
Organisers have also stated that visitors to the London Show, whether they are badged ATEI, ICE or ICEi, will have free access to all three parts of the exhibition, linked via escalators in the middle of the show floor, as well as at the front of Earls Court 1. Clear signage and easy-to-follow 3-D floor plans will be deployed to help buyers navigate the three-hall layout, as well as high-visibility floor walkers, whose job it will be to direct attendees to where they want to go in the shortest possible time.
Head of Exhibitions, Karen Cooke commented: “This will be the biggest London Show to date, with upwards of 500 exhibitors occupying around 30,000 square metres (322,800sq.ft.) of net floor space. The restructuring of the floor plan, which has allowed us to achieve this momentous landmark, will mean that seasoned visitors will need additional help to find their favourite suppliers on the show floor, so we have ring fenced additional resources to make the changeover as smooth as possible for all our customers.”
