Payment Solutions | Germany
The European coin and bill handling industry has become increasingly competitive over recent years. National Rejectors, Inc. GmbH of Germany, however, continues to benefit from the synergies that were brought about following parent Crane Company's acquisition of CashCode in early 2006 for $86m.
Marketing Manager Tobias Roitsch said the interdependency of the two units, which, along with coin dispensing business Telequip, form the Crane Payment Solutions division of the US conglomerate, was becoming more beneficial as time goes on.
"Manufacturers and OEMs find a complete range of products and systems, and this helps them to improve their profitability and productivity as well as end-customer satisfaction by delivering proven state-of-the-art currency validation solutions." Intensive R&D efforts at NRI have led to a new range of hoppers, the h² series. Available in various sizes, the hopper features reliable high-speed payout up to the last coin, one standard hardware for a broad range of coins, a universal voltage range and ccTalk or parallel interfaces. The company also focuses on its freefall validator, the superfast and accurate f², along with the Payment Manager solution, which was developed as an all-in-one control for all NRI and CashCode payment systems, eliminating any complicated data transmission protocols of individual payment systems.
"The key to our innovative new gaming product range is the security, reliability and flexibility for which all NRI products are renowned," Roitsch said.
In the meanwhile the Canadian company CashCode offers front-load, back-load and stackerless solutions for bill validating and also showcased their new r2 bill dispenser and recycler at the IGE in London. Designed for the European AWP market, this product validates 60 bank notes inserted and allows payout of 10 or 20 Euro banknotes. CashCode also launched their latest development, the oneTM bill validator, a truly global solution for OEMs and operators worldwide.
Looking ahead, however, Roitsch said the company intends to expand its global footprint, adding to the 50-plus distributors who handle NRI products worldwide.
He continued: "The customer is always the starting point of our new product developments, and so we will continue to use our synergies to develop products which help to improve profitability by offering flexible, state-of-the-art solutions."
