China promotes game development

Think Services, organizer of the world famous Game Developers Conference (GDC), have said the event will return to China this October. In March, the Ministry of Culture of China officially became the guiding unit of the GDC China 2009.

This is the first game development-related international event supported by the Ministry of Culture since the Three Decisions Plan, which was issued by the State Council of China in June 2008, conferred the responsibility of managing the game and animation industries to the Ministry of Culture.
