This is the busiest time of the year for Strachan cloth manufacturer Milliken, whose snooker and pool products are in demand around the globe.
Apart from the China Open in Beijing, Strachan was used at the African Billiards & Snooker Federation's Snooker Championships in Johannesburg, which attracted players from countries including Mozambique, Libya and Egypt.
India's Pankaj Advani and China's Li Yuan are joint favourites for this month's Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports under 21's championships in India and, in May, the spotlight returns to China when ACBS will host the Asian Snooker Championships.
The Strachan brand has been specified for all these events and will be used for the 29th consecutive year at the WPBSA World Snooker Championships.
Milliken's marketing director Duncan Kettell, who has just returned from China and St Petersburg, where Strachan was used for the European under 21s snooker team cup, is pleased the brand is gaining international recognition.
"As demand in the UK has weakened, we have made a big effort to capitalise on snooker's growing appeal worldwide, supporting tournaments in India, Africa, China, Bangkok, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Laos.
"We are now working to attain a similar profile in the American pool market where Milliken SuperPro worsted is starting to become the cloth of choice by more pool regulators and tournament organisers," said Duncan (pictured).
