Namco Europe launches its newest street-racing video simulator, Nirin: a linkable, big screen, motorbike game featuring a trail-blazing mix of ultra hi-res graphics and advanced interactive controls.
Players select from five customised power bikes - each delivering unique degrees of performance across speed, acceleration, handling and turbo boost capability - and progress through five night time bustling city courses of varying difficulty.
Realistic handlebar controls - including throttle, brake and fingertip gearshift, along with a button to change on-screen angle - make gameplay intuitive for novices. Posing a sterner challenge for hardened racers, accelerating boosts can be built up by banking the bike left or right through bends and swerves, whilst slipstreaming behind cars, trucks and rival bikes also creates a competitive edge for overtaking.
Two modes of play are available to single players including: Single Race, challenging rival teams of seven on their home patch and beating the Boss to win a free game; and Time Attack, aiming for the fastest lap time on each traffic-free circuit. A Ghost Rider option shows players how they compare to their last lap as well as against the fastest circuit times recorded.
VS Battle offers head-to-head racing between up to four linked players, with solo racers having an up-front option to accept challenges from rivals mid-game.
System ES1 graphics deliver unbeatable graphics on Nirin's 42-inch hi-res deluxe LCD screen.
