US redemption specialist, Jennison Entertainment Technologies has released ‘Intermission', a movie-themed, coin roll-down sequel to its blockbuster Hollywood Reels game. Distributed exclusively throughout the UK, Ireland and continental Europe by Brent Sales/Namco Europe, the single-player game offers retro cinema interval entertainment that's just the ticket for family fun redemption seekers of all ages and abilities.
The premise of the game is that Soda, Popcorn and Candy Bar characters have taken over the concession stand at the Hollywood Reels theatre, teasing players to ‘buy' their wares. Mastering a quick roll-down technique, players win tickets by rolling coins through the various snack character frames, each with a different ticket value. Successfully illuminating all three characters wins the progressive jackpot and triggers an animated show sequence.
Housed in a brightly coloured cabinet with high intensity LED lighting and cinematic sound effects, Intermission allows operators complete control over ticket values and jackpot settings. Up to eight machines can be linked together and there's also an optional bonus marquee to draw further attention to progressive jackpots on offer.
