The training centre utilizes a casino-style environment to train gaming professionals. CEO Lin Yi-yung of the Extension Education Center, Hsiuping Institute of Technology revealed that based on the current progress, casinos will be open on Taiwan's offshore islands in four years and will create 20,000 jobs.

Dean Chung Jui-kuo of Hsiuping Institute of Technology said "Taiwan's legislature has passed the Gambling Law that allows casino gaming on Taiwan's offshore islands and the future casinos will need numerous gaming professionals, but Taiwan doesn't have related occupational training courses.  Once these casinos are open, people won't be able to get jobs there." 

Chung pointed out "Hsiuping Institute of Technology believes in the future of casino business in Taiwan. Casino jobs require expertise and techniques.  Therefore, Hsiuping Institute of Technology launched the gaming training program to help those that are interested in the gaming tourism industry get prepared in advance."

The Global Gaming Training Center in central Taiwan uses the standard equipment of international casinos and to create a virtual casino. The training centre will let students learn relevant techniques for various types of casinos.
