Tony Eyre, formerly Sales and Marketing director at Games Warehouse, has joined Nova Productions as Sales Director - directly responsible for the poker sensation Big Tony's PokerKard.
Eyre spent seven years at Games Warehouse and spearheaded a highly successful sales and marketing campaign for their Paragon SWP compendium, which resulted in it becoming the UK's market leader.
"I am thrilled to be joining such an innovative company as Nova Productions," he says. "The company has four decades of experience in delivering reliable, high quality, income-earning, video-based entertainment."
"Nova's founders and owners Peter Robinson and David Jones are recognised as being the industry's most consistently creative video games designers, responsible for bringing pioneering and innovative video entertainment products to the UK market such as , Hunchback, Revelations, Pocket Money and Skill Ball Bingo," he adds.
"Given the continued credit crisis, we will be introducing bespoke product finance options for Big Tony's PokerKard, making it the most affordable alternative for machine operators," says Eyre. "Nova will be exhibiting at Preview 2010 on 7th & 8th October 2009, and I am looking forward to demonstrating PokerKard and discussing its most affordable method of purchase."
"We are thrilled to welcome Tony to the Nova team," says Peter Robinson. "This is a crucial time for us to maximize the opportunities offered by Big Tony's PokerKard in the UK, following on from the successes of Skill Ball Bingo. The Poker playing community has been growing at a rate of 15% per annum, and with more than 5,000 organised "Poker Nights" each week in public houses, Big Tony's PokerKard provides a unique product offering to capitalise on the ground swell of interest in one of the oldest and most established games in history
