Institutional investors have predicted that IGS' second quarter revenue will hit a new quarter high, making it the highest profit earner in the Asian gaming sector. Chinesegamer and UserJoy were predicted to be the second and third most profitable respectively.
According to IGS, the positive results are due to strong sales into Italy and good online game revenues. Institutional investors have predicted that IGS' July revenue will reach a high level between NT$270 million and NT$280 million.
In terms of IGS' operating structure, commercial games account for about 60% of IGS revenue and online games account for about 40%. In respect of commercial games, the company's monthly revenue from the Italian market in the second quarter will reach about NT$60 million to NT$70 million and game machines from the China market will be about NT$50 million to NT$60 million.
Looking into the third quarter, it appears that China's demand for commercial games will continue to make a comeback. With the release of other online games in the summer, institutional investors projected that IGS' third quarter revenue would have a chance to rise and its quarterly revenue would reach a high level of NT$800 million to NT$900 million.
According to institutional investors, benefiting from the Italian market's game replacement trend, IGS' monthly shipping volume has increased to 5,000 to 6,000 pieces from the 2,000-plus pieces at the beginning of this year.
As for other markets, IGS is focused on developing high resolution commercial games and expanding its market to Eastern Europe and South America. IGS has pointed out that the firm will launch at least 21 new games during this year and its shipping volume this year will increase compared with a year ago. Besides China and Italy, the three East European countries including Poland, Czech Republic and Romania are also the key markets for IGS.
