To promote China's animation and comic industry, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation of China announced on July 31 new taxation policies for supporting the animation and comics industry's development. 

Starting from this year, China's animation and comic industry members can enjoy preferential taxation in value-added tax, enterprise income tax, business income tax, import tariff and import value-added tax. The preferential taxation policies are aimed to encourage the animation and comics industry to become more innovative.
