SEGA Republic at The Dubai Mall is the third SEGA property to offer Virtual Bowling as a form of entertainment. SEGA Gameworks in Las Vegas and Chicago also include Virtual Bowling.  

 Virtual Bowling is designed to help build traffic and revenues by attracting today’s video game generation and anyone who enjoys the great fun of bowling. Unlike traditional home electronics games, Virtual Bowling blends real bowling with the thrill and variety of video gaming. 

 SEGA Republic is located in The Dubai Mall, centrally located in the Downtown Burj Dubai development – ‘the new heart of the city’ – and boasts 9 major thrill-ride attractions, including indoor roller coasters and motion simulators. 

 SEGA Republic includes two lanes of Virtual Bowling and offers visitors the realistic sound of bowling, where they roll either a miniature or standard bowling ball down a shortened lane and sensors detect the speed and direction of the ball as it enters the virtual world. Players can choose from a five or 10-frame game in their choice of five fun-filled bowling themes, or they can play “Target Challenge”, the most modern version of traditional “Skee-Ball” style games.

 The entire theme park covers two levels and has about 150 other amusement games for the whole family to enjoy.
