To further promote economic interactions between China and Taiwan, the Guangzhou Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade organized a delegation to Taipei to attend the “Taipei-Guangzhou Trade Week 2009” from November 4 to 11.
In the morning of the first day saw the holding of the “Taipei-Guangzhou Economic Cooperation Forum and Business Opportunities Conference” to briefly introduce the current economic and trade situations as well as investment environment in Taipei and Guangzhou respectively. The welcome speeches made by Taipei City Deputy Mayor Lin Chien-Yuan and Guangzhou City Deputy Mayor Li Rong-Can inaugurated the seven-day event later on.
Mr. Lu Kun-Mou, Chairman of the Taiwan Digital Entertainment Association (TDEA), shared with the attendees his concerns about tariffs and strategy limits for Taiwanese businessmen in China, which were responded by the delegation in detail.
