The UK office of ticketing and access control specialist OmniTicket Network has announced a number of new installations and updates to existing systems in recent months at prestigious venues in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Among the most significant of these is a contract with the Crown Estate in Windsor, near London, to supply a ticketing, access control and membership system for this esteemed organisation.

Working in conjunction with security systems provider AC Controls, OmniTicket has supplied operator Windsor and Traditional Holdings with its Windows-based Overview application for the Savill Garden venue within the Estate, along with separate ticket-selling stations and membership stations (for annual pass holders). This is being operated using contactless card technology, with the chip card being printed and encoded by the system. The installation went live in June.

In addition to this, one of Ireland’s leading tourist attractions, Blarney Castle on the Blarney Estate near Cork city in the south of Ireland, went ‘live’ in June with an OmniTicket ticketing system. Visitors to the home of the world-famous Blarney Stone can now take advantage of the initial installation, which comprises a complete single selling station using the Overview software, with the operators planning to expand on this in the future.

In Scotland, OmniTicket’s UK office has recently added a membership photo ID system to the existing ticketing and access control system at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh. This will be used for the production of season passes and photo ID/membership cards.

Finally, the Dolfinarium Harderwijk in the Netherlands, another client of the company’s UK office, has implemented internet ticket sales utilising OmniTicket’s web-based print-at-home function. The attraction has been using OmniTicket’s ticketing and access control systems for many years and the print-at-home option is the latest addition to this, allowing visitors to print their tickets from their home computer for added convenience on arrival at the gate.

“We are delighted to be able to announce these new additions to our client list,” commented OmniTicket’s UK operations director John Davies. “We are particularly proud that such prestigious and well-known organisations as the Crown Estate and Blarney Castle have decided to utilise our products and services.”
