On 22nd October, the judging panel met in the offices of the Europer Association (Association of Catalonian operators) belonging to the PIMEC Confederation (Confederation of Small and Medium Commercialised Businesses) to decide on the 4th biennial amusement awards. These awards identify at a national level those companies and people from the Spanish world of amusement whose main objective is to make everyone aware of the reality of a very dynamic business sector.
On the jury are members of all the business associations in the sector, as well as the specialist communication media in the gaming market and the daily press. The purpose of these awards is to improve the awareness of the financial world and public opinion in general about the amusement sector. These awards are made every two years and this year they are being made to Unidesa from the Cirsa Group for being the most innovative manufacturing company, to Patrojoc in its capacity as the Employers’ Association that is most committed to the gaming sector and lastly within the Spanish daily press, ‘El Mundo’, as the most active media in describing the current state of gaming in Spain. For the award to an individual the panel wish to recognise the Justo family for being one of the pioneers in the market with its company Miky S.A. and the brothers Joaquín and Jesús Franco for their business trajectory. Unfortunately Joaquín Franco will not be able to collect his well deserved prize on 10th December, the date reserved for the presentation of the awards; sadly he passed away shortly before being presented with his award.
