Astro Corp has announced a new strategic alliance with Inspired Gaming Group plc. Game designer, manufacturer and distributor Astro will produce terminals to Inspired, the leading player worldwide in Open Server-Based Gaming (Open SBG™). Inspired will reciprocate supplying its Open SBG Software to Astro.
This agreement will enable Astro to license Inspired’s Open SBG software to its Italian customers for distribution throughout their Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) gaming venues.
Commenting on the alliance, Astro’s CEO Simon Herbert Said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Inspired Gaming. Both well respected, publicly traded companies, I think Inspired’s expertise in Server Based Gaming and Astro’s focus on design and game play complement each other well.
“I am pleased that Astro has been able to satisfy Inspired’s exact requirements in terms of games development, manufacturing standards, volume and price,” he added.
In addition, the parties have agreed to mutually license content for use with each others’ customers in the UK and Italy.
Inspired’s CEO Luke Alveraz, said: “The SBG Software Platform License Agreement is an important one for us; it recognises Inspired’s Open SBG software platform as a leading gaming software platform and leverages our expertise and experiences in Italy to permit Astro Corp to provide VLT services to new customers.”
