Praesepe is to continue offering Project's gaming machines at the sites it runs under the Cashino, Beacon Bingo and Showboat brands.
They will be operated on a revenue-sharing basis, with Praesepe – the only adult gaming centre operator listed on the London Stock Exchange – apparently believing that the future for low-stake gaming in the UK involves close collaboration between machine developers and venue owners, as well as an overhaul of regulation.
Praesepe CEO Nick Harding (pictured) said: “Clearly the industry is in real need of a structured regulatory regime and is crying out for the reintroduction of the triennial [review of rules], which served the industry well for decades. But in tandem with that we also need the clever thinkers who are prepared to challenge convention and challenge orthodoxy.”
Added Project managing director Tony Boulton: “We have been involved in a successful relationship with Praesepe for some time and the introduction of our bingo terminal, together with new B3s and Category C gaming products, has given us the opportunity to increase our machine density across the three brands.”
Praesepe has 76 adult gaming centres, including the Crystal Rooms in Leicester Square, as well as six bingo clubs and four family entertainment centres.
