A man has been banned from every amusement arcade in Britain after a series of thefts from gaming machines.
Peter Storr, 22, was given the five-year anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) as well as a suspended six-month prison sentence and 150 hours of work in the community after pleading guilty to stealing money from the devices.
Storr, from Grimsby, had previous convictions for similar offences, and had told probation officers that he “made his money” from gaming machines.
He used a tool to extract money and would then pretend he had won it, to fool anyone observing him in the arcades. But his spree came to an end when he was stopped after stealing £220 from four machines at The Forum in Bridlington last year. Hull Crown Court also ordered Storr to repay £145.
