A British company is supplying pool and snooker cloths to the Asian Games that open in Guangzhou next month.
Milliken will provide its SuperPro cloth for eight- and nine-ball pool, and Strachan 6811 for snooker. It is the first time the firm has supplied the Asian Games, although it has been developing business in the region for some time and is official cloth provider for the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports.
“Snooker is extremely popular in China and the Far East and we are delighted to be invited to take part as a specified supplier,” said Milliken marketing director Duncan Kettell.
“Having recently provided cloth for the Shanghai Masters, broadcast by Eurosport, we are delighted that our products have been chosen for this extremely prestigious event, which attracts a huge televised audience,” he added.
