Gamestec is partnering with Astra Games, part of Novomatic Group, to develop a new digital gaming system for UK pubs. A package including technology, content, distribution, and maintenance is expected to be available to landlords within three months.
“Astra's Category C digital gaming solution neatly complements Gamestec’s existing digital and analogue product portfolio. The solution will also incorporate content from Gamestec’s sister company Bell Fruit Games and will be open to developers with best-of-breed games,” the companies said.
Zane Mersich, managing director of Astra Games, added: “We offer an extensive portfolio of game content and this complements Gamestec’s proven ability to deliver a customer-driven service.”
Gamestec, part of Danoptra Gaming Group, has around 35,000 units installed and says it supplies one in three British pubs.
Meanwhile, Sceptre Leisure is to supply AWP machines, pool tables and music systems to about a third of Punch Pub Company's locations under a new two-year deal.
Deployments to Punch pubs including Chef & Brewer sites begin this month.
Sceptre grew pre-tax profit by 37 percent to £1.9m for the financial year ending 30 April, while turnover increased nine percent to £42.8m.
