Bringing Asia together
Published:  11 November, 2010

GTI Asia Taipei Expo 2011 will take place from 5 to 7 May next year, with the goal of connecting Asian companies in the gaming and amusements sector – including firms from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, as well as international groups from other corners of the globe.

Now reaching its 18th iteration, the show has its origins in the GTI Expo organised in 1993 by Game Time International, which has continued to run it annually ever since, always striving to strike a balance of emphasis between edutainment and gambling machines.

It has historically enjoyed great support from manufacturers, distributors, suppliers of parts, and operators, successfully presenting to delegates in just a few days the status quo and future trends of the electronic gaming and amusements industry not only in Taiwan itself, but across the entire Asia Pacific region.

Admission to the three-day event is restricted to business visitors; the general public is excluded in order to keep the atmosphere on the show floor as professional as possible.

GTI Asia Taipei Expo always attracts thousands of international visitors and buyers. Many are not just exploring the market or looking to see what’s new: they are also actively buying or developing partnerships with other companies.

Registration of overseas exhibitors began in mid-October, and in order to encourage maximum international participation and enable both the organisers and the exhibitors to prepare well in advance, a ten percent discount on booth rent and free banner advertisements on the show’s official Website will be given to overseas exhibitors.

GTI also welcomes visitors from all over the world to apply for free admission tickets. Next year’s show will be particularly significant, the organisers believe, as the industry moves to embrace the huge market potential incubating in Asia after Taiwan’s signing of the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) with China last June.
