International Game Technology (IGT) could be about to put Barcrest up for sale. Its advisers Global Leisure Partners are talking to potential buyers of the famous gaming name, according to reports, with the price tag expected to be around £70-100m.
Barcrest, with annual turnover of around £40m and some 300 employees, supplies gaming machines to venues including arcades, pubs, private members’ clubs, bingo halls and betting shops. It also provides content for gaming on mobile, Internet and interactive TV platforms.
IGT bought the company from Bass for £42m in 1998.
